Description
A practical course focused on protecting consumers/clients, and safeguarding real estate transactions from listing to closing. Content will cover daily agent workflows (email, e-sign, MLS, lockbox, marketing, transaction platforms), and emphasizes prevention of client financial loss and privacy harm.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify three common cyber threats that target real estate transactions, and explain their potential client impact.
- Execute a two-step out-of-band verification process before transmitting or acting on wiring instructions.
- Apply secure document-sharing practices for client PII (ID scans, pre-approval letters) using brokerage-approved tools.
- Configure multi-factor authentication (MFA) and a password manager on at least two business-critical accounts.
- Follow a first-hour incident response checklist if a client or agent account is compromised.
